Cross Stitch by Sandy Littlejohns November news and updates

Hello there again,

It's November already and we have Christmas designs 'The Toy Shop' and 'Snow Place Like Home' to get you in the festive mood. If however you don't want to be reminded of Christmas so soon, we also have the cutest pair of pig designs and a Bell Pull design.

We were intending to include the first of Sandy's period costume ladies, but as we have just finally been given the keys to the studio (Yay!) we are very busy moving and getting set up right now.

Since our last newsletter, DMC has very graciously sent us a goody box of samples, including their fabulous Light Effects and Variations ranges. They look so beautiful and vibrant, so we're really looking forward to designing something special with them. To date, we have used Anchor thread. However, we would like to find out what your favourite brand of threads are, so if you favour a particular brand, why not let us know what it is and the type of design you like to stitch with it.

Lastly, one of our newsletter readers contacted us to get help with the Victorian Christmas Eve Street Scene because the chart she was working from had errors in the key. The chart concerned was a magazine chart, reprinted by Cross Stitch Collection in 2005 as part of a pull out featuring Sandy's designs. Unfortunately, the error with the key makes it impossible to stitch, so if you too have tried and failed to stitch this chart, don't throw it away, we plan to post the corrections on our face book group for download once the studio is up and running.
